Don't forget good old Kirk in his first film "THE STRANGE LOVE OF MARTHA IVERS" where he is wonderfully simpering, crawly, cowardly, and a snivelling drunk!

How could O forget Kirk in anything? Mind you, I did try to forget SCALAWAG....but yes, there were a lot of other good roles among which one I really liked was in King Vidor's MAN WITHOUT A STAR.

I also like the semi-sequel to The Bad And The Beautiful - Two Weeks In Another Town. Douglas is great as Jack Andrus, the washed-up actor who had a breakdown who is given a chance at a future by this old friend Maurice Kruger (Edward G. Robinson) to help Kruger with a problematic movie he's making in Cinecitta. Nice story of redemption, and some great dialogue too. Douglas' vulnerability in this one is interesting.
